My Favourite Knits (so far) : Pullover Edition – March 2019

Welcome to the first rendition of My Favourite Knits (so far)! I’m currently on a journey of wearing more of my hand knitted items – I know I’m not the only one who treats their knits like precious treasures never to be touched. I finally have a job where I can wear my knits, and I am LOVING it. I thought I’d share a little bit of my favourite pullovers (so far) today! I also have about 10 pullover WIPS that we’re just not going to talk about. So my favourite pullovers that I’ve finished ARE:

TOP LEFT:

Droplets Sweater by Knitatude

I tested this pattern for my friend Chantal – it’s such a classic style (raglan) with some cute details!

Yarn used: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in “Haze Heather”

Available in sizes S – XXL

MIDDLE LEFT:

Flax by Tin Can Knits

This was the first top-down, in the round, sweater I ever made – and I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn to make sweaters. Such an easy to follow pattern, with a very wearable, gender neutral, result.

Yarn used: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in “Seraphim”

Available in sizes XS – 4XL, AND kids sizes.

BOTTOM LEFT:

The Weekender by Andrea Mowry

This sweater is probably tied with my Zweig for my favourite sweater. It’s got a relaxed vibe, but dresses up quickly with a collared shirt underneath!

Yarn used: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Tweed in “Down Heather” (I swear I knit in other yarns – this yarn is just so dang affordable, and comes in so many colours.

Available in sizes XS – 3XL

TOP RIGHT:

Ripple Crop Top by Jessie Mae

I had the pleasure of testing this adorable crop top too, and I’m in LOVE with it. IN LOVE. No other words except that everyone should go make one right now.

Yarn used: Madtosh Sock in “Fragile”

Available in sizes XS – 5XL

MIDDLE RIGHT 1:

Zweig by Caitlin Hunter

I feel like a freaking badass when I wear this sweater. From the detail, to the fit, to the colour, I love everything about it. I think I’m going to take my engagement photos in it.

Yarn used: Lichen and Lace in “Soot” (main colour) and “Linen” (contrast colour).

Available in sizes XS – 3XL

MIDDLE RIGHT 2:

Pocketful of Stitches by Knitatude

This cute t-shirt is so wearable for everyday! I omitted the pocket from mine. The cotton yarn is really comfortable, too!

Yarn used: Lion Brand Jeans Cotton in “Black”

Available in sizes S – 3XL

BOTTOM RIGHT:

So Faded by Andrea Mowry

This lightweight sweater feels SO GOOD on – plus, there are so many amazing fade combinations out there. I used a custom yarn by Sweetnesting.

I found some gorgeous combos on Etsy for anyone interested, like this one from NobelCharacterCrafts, or this one from Northwoods Fibers!

Available in sizes 30 – 58″

So,

I’m gonna be real honest with you – these are all my pullovers. I know, I know. I’m the worst. But I really do love them all. I’ve got a stack of WIPS a mile high, and then about 10 sweater quantities, so stay tuned for a boatload more. I’m very (im)patiently waiting for the stunning Tundra Sweater by The Petite Knitter to be released. Sweaters are easily my favourite thing to wear. And if you have any suggestions for more sweaters and designers I should check out, (size inclusive, please!), drop them in the comments below! I am always excited to learn about new designers!
